Once your students are entered in your class, it is easy to manage student sites from the My Students tab on your teacher dashboard. From the dashboard you can see at a glance which students have logged in and started their weebly sites.
By clicking the Class settings button, you can manage a few things for your entire set of student Weebly sites. Please note that once at least 1 student adds a blog page to their site, the Moderate Blogs button appears next to the Class settings button.
To moderate blog comments, simply click the Moderate Blogs button to review comments. If you opted to allow post immediately from the class settings screen, blog comments will appear as approved.
If you chose to Hold for moderation you will need to click the pending column and review individual comments and decide whether to approve or delete. Both options allow you to delete or mark as spam comments before or after approval. Each comment also contains the IP address of the commenter in case you ever have the need to know where a commenter is posting from.
To view individual student weebly sites, simply click the little arrow next to the words site 1 on the student’s row and the name of the student’s site will pop up. Click the name of the site and the student site will open in a new tab. If the student has not yet published their site, instead of opening up the site in a new window, it will say site not yet published.
The My Students tab also allows you to Print student list. This document provides you a list of student usernames and passwords and the web address for students to get started. These can easily be printed cut up and distributed to students when you are ready for your students to get started with building Weebly sites.
And that is all you need to know to get started with student ePortfolios.
